Peter Cavanaugh — Senior Client Advisor
Peter joined Bancorp Treasury in 1993 and is based in the Wellington office. His primary responsibility involves providing specialist treasury advice to a mixed portfolio of clients. He has extensive experience in assisting organisations within infrastructural, local authority, primary and manufacturing sectors to manage treasury related risks. A tenured banking and treasury background in public sector and infrastructure borrowing, debt management and first-hand currency risk management makes Peter a recognised subject matter expert.
Peter's extensive career in banking, finance and corporate treasury, brings specialist skills in treasury risk management, strategic treasury management and treasury administration. He has successfully managed global debt, investment and capital markets portfolios encompassing domestic and major international financial markets.
Peter provides ongoing treasury advice to a large number of diverse clients and contributs to one-off project work devising governance, policy control and reporting formats.
Peter is a Certified Treasury Professional member of the Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand Inc.
